Star Scoop: Liam Gallagher Confident in Oasis’s Comeback: “We’ll Still Wipe the Floor”

Liam Gallagher has a message for anyone doubting Oasis’s potential comeback: they’ve still got it. Despite being 15 years since Oasis last performed together, Liam, 52, is confident that the Brit rock legends are ready to reclaim their place on the stage. On Sunday, November 10, the Better Days musician took to X (formerly Twitter) to address skeptics, declaring that Oasis could “wipe the floor” with most other bands, even on an off day.

Liam shared, “Got asked a ridiculous question yesterday so are OASIS gonna be as good as you once were because when some bands get back together they’re not as good,” he wrote. “I said listen here you C–T even on our bad day we’ll still wipe the floor with majority of bands out there BUMBACLART LG x.”

The post comes as Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher prepare for the Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour, marking the first time they’ll perform together since their infamous split in 2009. The breakup, reportedly sparked by a backstage argument at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris, led to years of public feuds and tension between the Gallagher brothers. Yet fans can finally celebrate as the “Champagne Supernova” band reunites to perform across the U.K. and Ireland next summer.

Announced in August, the tour has been long-anticipated, with Oasis hinting at the comeback in a statement: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.” The band teased the return further on Instagram, saying, “This is it, this is happening.”

The reunion tour kicks off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4 and 5, before moving to Manchester’s Heaton Park for four dates: July 11, 12, 19, and 20. The rockers will continue with four nights at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium on July 25, 26, August 2, and 3, and then head north to Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 8 and 9. The tour will wrap up with two nights at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16 and 17.

Fans across the globe are ecstatic for the chance to see Oasis live once again, as the Gallagher brothers put aside their differences to bring back the music that defined a generation.
