Katharine McPhee Applauds Erin and Sara Foster’s Multifaceted Success: “So Proud to Be in Their Corner”

Katharine McPhee is celebrating the incredible achievements of her stepdaughters Erin and Sara Foster, who continue to dominate in multiple creative arenas.
“I’m so proud of Erin and Sara,” McPhee, 40, shared exclusively with Us Weekly in the latest issue. “They have had their hands in so many things. They’re just at the peak of so much huge success. Yeah, they’ve entered it.”
McPhee highlighted their hit Netflix comedy series, Nobody Wants This, which Erin, 42, and Sara, 43, executive produced. The show debuted in September 2024 with a 10-episode first season and was quickly renewed for a second. The series follows the unconventional romance between a sex podcaster (Kristen Bell) and a charming rabbi (Adam Brody), offering a fresh and comedic take on modern relationships.
Beyond their television success, McPhee also praised the sisters’ fashion brand, Favorite Daughter, which has become a go-to label for contemporary women’s wear. “If there was anybody more diversified than them, I haven’t met it,” McPhee said at the Bio.Me launch event on December 3. “The success of their clothing line, their podcast, and now entering into TV and film—it’s like every person’s dream.”
The Smash star, who joked that she’s “not their real mother,” emphasized her deep bond with Erin and Sara. “They are definitely my family, and we’re all so, so proud,” McPhee said. “This last Thanksgiving, we had so much to be thankful for, just to be supportive of them. It feels really great to be in their corner.”
McPhee has been married to music legend David Foster, Erin and Sara’s father, since June 2019. The couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in London and welcomed their son, Rennie David, in February 2021. McPhee’s relationship with the Fosters has been notable for its warmth and support, with the family frequently showing up for one another’s milestones.
Erin and Sara, already well-established in Hollywood before McPhee joined the family, have built impressive résumés. Sara, known for her acting roles on 90210 and Barely Famous, and Erin, a former head of creative for Bumble, have seamlessly transitioned into fashion and production. With Favorite Daughter thriving and Nobody Wants This making waves, the sisters continue to demonstrate their creativity and business acumen.
McPhee’s words of pride and encouragement underscore the strong family dynamic she shares with the Fosters, celebrating their collective successes as a blended family. Fans of the Fosters and McPhee alike can look forward to seeing even more from this talented clan.
