Grimes is setting the record straight about her breakup with Elon Musk, emphasizing that she was the one who ended the relationship.

The singer, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, responded to a Tweet directed at her by fellow musician Azealia Banks via X (formerly Twitter).

“I didn’t ‘get dumped.’ I bounced. My amazing baby is asleep in my bed beside me, I’m in love. No regrets. Life is as beautiful as u want it to be,” Grimes, 35, wrote.

Despite their past public feud, Grimes extended goodwill to Banks, adding, “Ur insanely talented. Even after all this, I want u to win. God bless Mlady.”

Grimes and Musk, 52, were together for four years before their split in 2022. During their relationship, they welcomed three children: son X Æ A-Xii, 4, daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and son Techno Mechanicus, 2.
