Jennifer Aniston Shares the Fitness Tip She Can’t Stand: ‘No Pain, No Gain’ Isn’t True

Jennifer Aniston has long been a wellness icon, but the Friends alum is speaking out against one of the oldest fitness clichés: “No pain, no gain.”

“No pain, no gain. That’s not true at all,” Aniston, 55, told People in a recent interview. “You can actually have gain with no pain.”

The Emmy-winning actress, who has experimented with various fitness regimens over the years, shared that her perspective on exercise has evolved significantly.

“I know more because I’ve tried it all,” she explained. “And my big takeaway is, ‘Boy, you didn’t have to hurt your body so much back then. You didn’t need to beat yourself up.’”

While Aniston has worked through intense cardio, weightlifting, and other routines in the past, she now takes a more balanced approach to staying active. The Just Go With It star also admitted she isn’t a fan of setting New Year’s resolutions.

“I’m not a good person to ask about that. I don’t make resolutions,” she said. “I really don’t. I don’t want to let myself down. I don’t want to fail at that.”

Aniston’s reflections on fitness aren’t new; she’s long been candid about her wellness journey. In a 2021 interview with InStyle, she shared her go-to exercise plan: the “15-15-15” routine, which combines 15 minutes of spinning, elliptical work, and running.

Even with an injury that limited her to Pilates at the time, she remained committed to daily movement. “I need some kind of movement, even if it’s just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline,” she explained.

Aniston is also known for her mindful snacking. “I can have one M&M, one chip. I know, that’s so annoying,” she quipped during the InStyle interview.

Her latest comments come after she was spotted enjoying a beach getaway in Cabo, Mexico, where she rang in the new year with friends.

Jennifer Aniston rose to international fame with her role as Rachel Green on the iconic sitcom Friends, which aired from 1994 to 2004. The role earned her an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a place in pop culture history. Known for her effortless beauty and comedic timing, she has also starred in blockbuster films like Marley & Me, Horrible Bosses, and The Morning Show, which garnered her a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2020.

Beyond acting, Aniston has become a lifestyle inspiration, frequently sharing insights on health, fitness, and mindfulness. From her famous hairstyles in the ’90s to her enduring charm, Aniston remains a beloved figure in Hollywood and beyond.
